Introduction
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the effective management of warehousing processes, and systems to ensure that stock is received, stored, and shipped according to Company and industry standards and requirements. This position is based in Wellington, Western Cape.
Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer, Supplier & Producer Relations:
    Ensure effective communication around product delivery delays and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Stock & Warehouse Management:
    Oversee all warehouse stock operations, including receiving and dispatching inventory. Maintain accurate documentation, apply FIFO principles, minimize waste, and manage slow-moving and expired stock. Conduct regular stock counts and ensure safe handling during loading and off-loading.

  • Inventory Accuracy & Reporting:
    Maintain stock records and filing systems, report issues promptly, and ensure documentation is provided to the Stock and Logistics Manager.

  • Process Improvement:
    Drive supply chain efficiency by integrating applicable technologies and optimizing workflows.

  • Health & Safety Leadership:
    Act as the designated EHS Officer, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

  • Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness:
    Understand and implement fire evacuation procedures and regulations.

  • Chemical Handling Compliance:
    Enforce company policies and Work Instructions (WI 01–WI 15) related to the safe handling, transportation, storage, and disposal of chemicals, containers, and solid waste.

Minimum requirements

Experience
  • 2 – 3 years’ relevant experience
Education
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Logistics, Bachelor of Engineering (Industrial) or similar tertiary qualification
Skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Displays skills in effective planning and organization
  • Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Must be assertive, structured, disciplined and self-starter
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Good insight into technology and systems
